About
Most aging-in-place decisions get made in a hurry, usually after a fall. Easy Aging's model is to do the work before that: a home safety and aging-readiness assessment, then a plan covering the things that actually cause the crisis — fall prevention, fire safety, mobility and accessibility, and the home modifications that make the difference between managing and moving.
Alongside the physical assessment it offers "simple, supportive technologies" chosen for older adults rather than sold to them, and "guidance on care options, community resources, and supports" — the navigation problem families hit when they discover how fragmented eldercare is. Services run from a free initial consultation through aging-in-place preparation, independence enhancement, eldercare planning and care navigation.
Ran Manor is founder and CEO, a former Baycrest executive who describes himself as a long-time leader in the older adult innovation space; he ran startup services at the hospital-embedded Biomedical Zone and co-founded Hip-Hope Technologies, a fall-protection device company, before this. Easy Aging is certified under the Senior Home Safety Specialist (SHSS) program by Age Safe Canada, is a registered member of the Eldercare Planners of Canada, and partners with Tea and Toast under its Holistic Eldercare Excellence seal.
