About

The thesis is a mismatch: private credit has scaled into a multi-trillion-dollar asset class while the infrastructure beneath it did not, leaving many managers running close, reporting and portfolio monitoring across spreadsheets, disconnected systems and manual processes. Ellis turns that fragmentation into a single reconciled book where, in its own phrasing, every number is traceable — then puts AI agents to work on the workflows that slow firms down. The company frames the goal as making institutional-grade operations available to every private credit manager rather than only the largest, and describes private credit as where it begins rather than where it ends. Ryan Williams founded it; he is best known for co-creating Cadre, the real-estate investment platform he started in 2014, which raised more than $160M and was valued at roughly $800M at its peak before Yieldstreet acquired it in 2024. The seed round was led by First Round Capital, with 645 Ventures, Harlem Capital, Khosla Ventures, Slow Ventures, Wilshire Lane, Westbound, Collide Capital and Gallery Ventures participating alongside angels including Mellody Hobson, Josh Kushner and Immad Akhund.
