About
F-Prime Capital is Fidelity's venture capital arm. Its roots are in biotech — it was formerly Fidelity Biosciences — and it still invests heavily in therapeutics, medical devices and healthcare delivery, but since the mid-2010s it has also run a technology fund covering developer tools, fintech and software for the lab and R&D. Operating partner Shervin Ghaemmaghami joined in 2012 to help start that technology fund. F-Prime led BenchSci's US$22-million Series B in 2020, taking a board seat, and in 2021 he and BenchSci co-founder Liran Belenzon walked through how the deal came together on TechTO's Founders & Funding podcast.
Backers
The venture arm of Fidelity; it is not itself venture-backed.
