About

Faire came out of Y Combinator's Winter 2017 batch, co-founded by Max Rhodes, Marcelo Cortes, Jeff Kolovson and Daniele Perito. Cortes established the Canadian engineering organization in Kitchener-Waterloo and grew it past 300 engineers. He presented Faire's hypergrowth challenges on the TechTO stage in April 2019, when the company was a fraction of its current size. Faire was valued at $5.2B in a November 2025 employee share sale, down from a 2022 peak.

Backers

$1.5B+ raised from investors including Sequoia Capital, Khosla Ventures and Y Combinator; the November 2025 employee share sale was led by WCM Investment Management with Baillie Gifford and True North Fund
