Fjord Wellness

Fjord Wellness was a Toronto corporate-wellness company started by chiropractor Dr. Jonas Eyford. It sent teams of practitioners into offices to run on-site 'recharge stations' — massage, chiropractic, yoga and meditation — as a low-cost way to keep staff healthy. The work now runs under Eyford's Recharge Wellness / Recharge EAP.

About

Fjord Wellness was a Toronto-based corporate-wellness business founded by Dr. Jonas Eyford, a chiropractor. From 2012 it provided on-site services — recharge stations offering massage, chiropractic, yoga and meditation — to workplaces, and ran stations at employers in cities including Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal and Ottawa. Eyford's argument, made on the HealthTO stage in November 2017, was that a healthy workplace is mostly cheap: give people the flexibility to move, break the day into short intense bursts of work, and — above all — ask each person what they actually want instead of buying blanket perks. The Fjord Wellness website is no longer active; Eyford now runs the same idea as Recharge Wellness and its EAP brand Recharge EAP, headquartered in Calgary.
