Game On is not an accelerator in the usual sense: it takes no equity, charges nothing, and does not end in a demo day. Chris Neumann — four-time founder, former CEO of DataHero and a general partner at Panache Ventures until the end of 2024 — describes it as "an experiment in acceleration", aimed at the gap he calls velocity rather than talent: "Canadian founders can go toe-to-toe with any founders in the world. But there is a genuine velocity gap that we need to close." Founders spend three weeks working out of Werqwise in San Francisco, from Monday 5 January to Friday 23 January, with one to two hours of programming a day and the rest of their time spent on meetings they book themselves. Neumann told the TechTO stage in June 2026 that the January cohort took 35 founders from across the country. Founders from that cohort spoke on the same stage about what actually changed: one said the company had quadrupled revenue since the program and now spent most of its time in the United States; another said they had cut burn by roughly 45% in the month afterwards. The program is delivered with Fasken Emerging Tech, Google Cloud, the Government of Canada's Trade Commissioner Service, the Consulate General of Canada in San Francisco and Werqwise; founders cover their own flights, lodging and meals.
