Harvest

Harvest is a Toronto accounts-receivable platform for Canadian small and mid-sized businesses. It plugs into QuickBooks Online and Xero, chases overdue invoices on a set cadence with AI-drafted follow-ups a human approves, and escalates to demand letters when a customer goes quiet.

About

Harvest was founded in 2025 by Matt Himel, a lawyer turned operator who spent eight years at Drop as chief business officer. He raised $1M from Simple Ventures, the Canadian venture studio, and launched publicly in June 2025. The product is deliberately human-in-the-loop: Harvest drafts the chase email and categorises the reply, but an accounts-receivable operator sends and approves it — Himel's position on the TechTO stage in August 2026 was that the company supports AR staff rather than replacing them. Its advisory board includes Wealthsimple's Mike Katchen and Wave co-founder Kirk Simpson. Every client sits in a shared Slack channel with the team.
