About

Emma Harris started Healthy Pets after her Labrador Bo contracted lungworm as a puppy and the vet bills reached roughly $10,000 - the problem being access and cost, not care. The service put licensed veterinarians on video, priced at $40 per consult or $10 a month for four consults a year. Harris pitched on CBC's Dragons' Den, accepted $125,000 from Arlene Dickinson on air, and closed a $500,000 round from Dickinson's District Ventures Capital in April 2018. She later spent four years as an executive at Vetster.
