About

Huge designs and builds digital products, brand experiences and platforms for large clients, among them Google, McDonald's, NBCUniversal and Nike. It was founded in 1999 in the DUMBO neighbourhood of Brooklyn by David Skokna and Sasha Kirovski, was bought by Interpublic Group, and in December 2024 was sold on to AEA Investors, which combined it with its existing portfolio company Hero Digital to form what the buyer called one of the largest independent experience transformation businesses in the world. Terms were not disclosed. Michelle Campbell spoke for Huge at TechTO MarketingTO in February 2019 and used Garry Kasparov's post-Deep Blue experiments to argue against the industry's habit of writing creative briefs that start from a technology rather than an idea.

Backers

Owned by AEA Investors, a private investment firm, since December 2024. Before that it was part of Interpublic Group, the New York-listed advertising holding company.

Quick answers

Who owns Huge?

AEA Investors, a private investment firm, which bought it from Interpublic Group in December 2024 and combined it with Hero Digital.

What does Huge do?

It designs and builds digital products and experiences — sites, apps, platforms and the strategy around them — for large brands including Google, McDonald's and Nike.

What did Huge say on the TechTO stage?

In February 2019 Michelle Campbell argued that technology alone is bad at ideas. Her example was Garry Kasparov's finding that average players working with average computers beat the strongest chess machine — so briefs should start from an insight, not from 'do something with VR'.
