About

Intercap is a private merchant bank at 261 Davenport Road in Toronto. Rather than run a single fund with a single mandate, it invests through five units — equity, income, real estate, financial and impact — and the equity book is further split across Canada, the United States and international, technology, consumer, funds and exits. Its own framing is long-horizon: "help build companies for the long term."

Josh Brandley is president, international. Intercap's team page describes him as "a tactical leader focused on early-stage ventures that align with our strategic priorities," currently leading the firm's investments in top-level domains and web3 technologies. He came to it from founding Parsel in 2014, a platform that let YouTube and Instagram creators sell the products they talked about, which is what he took to the TechTO stage in December 2015.

Backers
