About
MedConnect was a Vancouver company building what its founder described as a family of digital products to modernize healthcare, aimed at primary care access and efficiency. The pitch to clinics was narrow: streamline the interaction between doctor and patient to cut doctor stress and free up appointment capacity. Jeremy Becker, co-founder and CEO, was a serial teenage founder before it — he ran an artist management and event production company, then a local restaurant marketing startup called Taste Locally that operated in Kelowna and Victoria for 18 months before failing, which is the experience behind the lessons he took to the TechVancouver stage in November 2018. MedConnect never appears to have got past pre-launch: its site was still collecting emails under a 'Launching soon' banner in October 2019, and the medconnectapp.ca domain has since gone dead.
