About

Angel's line for it is blunt: an antivirus on the financials. Traditional audit samples a fraction of the transactions and hopes the rest resemble them; MindBridge scores every entry, ranks the risky ones and hands auditors a shortlist. He started it in 2015, when saying "AI" at an accounting conference got him laughed at — he told TechTO's Founder Journey that he was thrown out of events for it, and that the same organisers later invited him back to teach. Selling to auditors turned out to be the hard part, professional scepticism being the job description. The company reached more than US$20 million of annual revenue and took US$60 million from Boston growth equity firm PSG Equity in 2023. Angel has since left to run Fresh Founders and found Remitian.

Backers

PSG Equity led a US$60M round in July 2023. Earlier investor capital and government funding is reported at roughly $42M between 2017 and 2019.
