About
Kurtis McBride founded Miovision in 2005 while finishing a master's in applied science at the University of Waterloo, on the idea that an intersection should respond to what a community needs rather than run on a fixed timer. The company sells traffic-data collection, signal hardware and analytics to municipalities, and has since expanded through acquisitions. McBride brought it to the TechWaterloo stage in 2016.
