About
Motoinsight started in Toronto as Unhaggle, a consumer marketplace that helped car buyers avoid dealership haggling, then pivoted to B2B software with its MotoCommerce digital-retailing platform. It has powered car-buying experiences for brands including Kijiji new cars, Consumer Reports, Hyundai, Nissan and Genesis, and its tools are used by nearly every automaker brand and over 1,000 dealership franchises. In January 2020 it received a strategic investment from TRADER Corporation, a Thoma Bravo portfolio company and parent of AutoTrader.ca. Co-founder Radek Garbowski later took over leading the business.
Backers
Received a strategic investment from TRADER Corporation, a Thoma Bravo portfolio company and parent of AutoTrader.ca, announced January 2020. Before that the founder said on stage the company raised only a small seed round in September 2012 and never took a major venture round.
