Misha Esipov and his co-founders began by interviewing classmates about how they made financial decisions, and found that every international student they spoke to could not get a credit card, a loan or a phone plan. They considered lending directly to immigrants and instead built the infrastructure — the pipelines that let a financial identity travel with a person. Esipov walked TechTO through that decision in September 2020.
