About
OBI deliberately does not duplicate what incubators already do — it brings money and connections rather than space. Its entrepreneurs program, running since 2012, gives $50,000 to up to ten founders a year building neurotechnology, broadly defined: devices, therapeutics, software or data. Most participants are recent graduates plucked out of research labs where a principal investigator has the science but not the bandwidth to run a company. The program pairs the funding with workshops on legal, HR, accounting, pitching and follow-on financing.
