About

Manny Abraham founded OrbCare in 2013 as his fourth company, after building the EMR companies Cogent and Nightingale. On the TechTO stage he argued the core problem in health care was not technology but workflow — doctors spend two hours in software for every hour of patient engagement, and every added system makes that worse. OrbCare filed for bankruptcy in November 2019; former staff bought a portion of its assets and launched Adracare.
