About
PayByPhone lets drivers pay for street and lot parking from their phone instead of a meter. Volkswagen Financial Services acquired the Yaletown-headquartered company in December 2016; at the time it had roughly 100 employees worldwide, 65 of them in Vancouver. Under CEO Francis Dupuis it was processing more than $325M in payments annually in 2017, rising past $400M by 2018, and signed a five-year contract with the City of Vancouver. FLEETCOR, since renamed Corpay, acquired it from Volkswagen Financial Services in December 2023.
