About
Paytm Labs was established in Toronto in 2014 by Harinder Takhar and Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma to tap Ontario's engineering talent for AI and data science. It powered risk, fraud and data products for Paytm. Paytm's separate Canadian consumer bill-pay app was shut down in March 2022; the Labs R&D operation refocused on India.
