About
Plantiga's premise is that movement is a biomarker — that gait data can flag injury risk, track rehab and show whether training is working, the way a blood test shows something a questionnaire cannot. The Arc5 pod collects up to 12 hours of data and an AI model, named Norman after the co-founder, compares it against a person's own baseline rather than a population average. Customers as of 2023 ran across the NBA, MLB, MLS, NFL, NHL and NCAA, plus physical therapists, surgeons, athletic trainers and several militaries. Sandler took the TechVancouver stage in 2017 with a set of startup lessons built around single words, and was blunt about the trade: entrepreneurship is a messy game and not an easy life.
