About
Proforo is the company Andrew Mawer started in 2020, his second venture after Bitmaker — the Toronto coding bootcamp he founded in 2012, bought his co-founders out of in 2014, and sold to General Assembly in 2016. Its own site is a single line: "Conversion marketing solutions that enrich, inform, and excite prospective customers." Crunchbase carries a longer statement of the same argument, that conventional demand funnels are built to extract contact details and pressure a purchase, and that the better ones over-deliver tangible value to a prospect first. The company publishes no team page, client list or case studies, and Mawer took the Bitmaker acquisition, not Proforo, to the TechTO stage in December 2016.
