About
Ratio.City built a 3D geospatial model of every property in Toronto — over half a million of them — layered with zoning, allowable heights, existing use and transit proximity, then made it searchable. That reversed the usual question: instead of asking whether a tower fits one parking lot, a developer could ask which parking lots fit the tower. Esri Canada acquired it in 2023.

Quick answers
What does Ratio.City do?
It maps zoning, land use, heights and transit into a searchable 3D model so developers and planners can find viable sites and test what they could build there.
Who founded Ratio.City?
Monika Jaroszonek co-founded it in Toronto in 2017 after fifteen years working in architecture firms.
Is Ratio.City still independent?
No. Esri Canada acquired it in 2023 and runs it as a division; Jaroszonek is Esri Canada's managing director of planning and housing.
