About
Reflect is an online mental-health platform based in San Francisco, founded in 2018 by Jonathan TranPham. It uses a matching algorithm to connect people with therapists based on their specific needs and preferences, so the search itself doesn't add to the stress. TranPham told the TechTO Together stage in 2020 that the idea came from his own frustrating six-month search for a therapist; Reflect started in the Bay Area, built up the supply side, and grew into what he called California's largest therapy network — more than 30,000 therapy sessions delivered, with about 80% of people who try it finding a therapist they like. TranPham went through 500 Startups (batch 23).
