About
ScribbleLive began as live-blogging software for newsrooms and grew into a content cloud covering the whole lifecycle — ideation, planning, creation, distribution and measurement — for brands, sports properties and publishers. Jonathan Keebler was its founding CTO and took the TechTO stage in 2015 on what it takes to grow a software company in Toronto. Vince Mifsud ran it as CEO from 2014 until January 2018, when he moved to board chair. Rock Content, a Brazilian content-marketing company, acquired it in December 2019; its founder put the price in the tens of millions of dollars. The Toronto and US offices continued as Rock Content North America, and the ScribbleLive brand no longer trades on its own.
Backers
Venture-backed before the sale; investors named in coverage of the acquisition include First Ascent Ventures.
