About
Shasta Ventures has invested at early stage from the San Francisco Bay Area since 2004, with roughly $1.3 billion under management across its funds. It built its reputation on leading Series A rounds across both consumer and enterprise technology, and today describes itself as partnering with entrepreneurs building the future of software, AI and deep technology, citing a 20-year track record. Nikhil Basu Trivedi joined in 2012, was promoted to partner in November 2017 alongside Jacob Mullins and Nitin Chopra, and led the firm's consumer investments — among them The Farmer's Dog, Canva, ClassDojo and Lattice — before leaving in 2020 to start Footwork. He represented Shasta on TechTO's Founders & Funding in September 2020 with Jonathan Regev of The Farmer's Dog, the company whose Series A he had led, and used the appearance to say he had left the firm and was investing personally.
