SigOne Capital was launched in 2018 by Genia Mikhalchenko and a partner who had spent the prior year building TMX's Shorcan Digital Currency Network, a Bitcoin and Ether OTC brokerage. SigOne ran an over-the-counter, institutional-grade crypto trading desk providing liquidity to investors and funds. In 2019 it announced a partnership with DV Chain, an affiliate of DV Trading; its founders have since moved on and it no longer operates independently.
