About
Amielle Lake founded Tagga in 2008 as a free SMS marketing platform funded by advertisers. Over roughly nine years the company pivoted repeatedly — first to an agency-focused mobile marketing tool, then to a cross-channel platform spanning SMS, email and social for brands, and finally to technology for measuring and segmenting customers across media channels. It was later acquired by email-marketing company Campaign Monitor.
Backers
Tagga was venture-backed; on stage the founder described raising financing in 2008 on the strength of a business plan. Specific investors are not confirmed here.
