About
Thrive Savings was a Toronto consumer fintech founded in 2017 by Jordan Wimmer. Its mobile app let users set savings goals and earn cashback rewards to reach them, and it grew to about 150,000 users, earning a spot on a US Top 100 Fintech to Watch list. The company went through Techstars. It has since shut down; Wimmer publicly announced it was winding down and exiting the Canadian market. Wimmer used her February 2018 TechTO talk not to pitch the product but to share her own #MeToo story and press the audience to speak up about workplace harassment.
Backers
Techstars-backed. Thrive went through the Techstars accelerator and raised early-stage funding before winding down.
