About
Dr. Sandy Penn Whitehouse co-founded Tickit Health in 2011 with Daniel Penn. As medical director of emergency services at BC Children's Hospital she could not reliably get straight answers from adolescent patients in a face-to-face interview; a visual, self-completed questionnaire got better ones, and got them before the clinician walked in. The product is used across health services for psychosocial, mental health and lifestyle screening. She set out the three steps that moved the company on the TechVancouver stage in December 2017.
