About
Craig Morantz had run seven companies across tech and bricks-and-mortar before VeganLabs, and his September 2017 TechTO talk was about carrying one specific lesson across: that churn compounds, and the cheapest way to fight it is to go narrow at the start. His example was the company itself — a snack launching that coming January, aimed not at health food buyers generally but at the vegan community specifically, and, he said, narrower still than that. VeganLabs sells nutritionally dense plant-based snacks built on ingredient combinations rather than fillers. Morantz completed MIT's Birthing of Giants programme and describes himself as a lifelong entrepreneur whose interest sits on the product development, client experience and marketing side of a business.
Backers
No funding round found in any source consulted here. Morantz describes himself as a serial founder who has built and sold businesses; the company appears to be self-funded.
