About

Hoover founded Product Hunt in 2013 and sold it to AngelList in 2016; Weekend Fund started the following year as a $3M vehicle for the kind of early bets Product Hunt put him in front of, and has raised further funds since. The remit is deliberately wide — the fund describes writing into everything from strange consumer products to unglamorous B2B — and the cheques are small and early, $200K to $500K. What it sells to founders is the LP base rather than the cheque: more than 400 founders and operators who are limited partners in the fund. Named investments include Deel, MoonPay, Pipe, Blueland, Function Health, Mindbloom, Voiceflow, Certn and Intercom.

Backers

A venture fund rather than a funded company. Its limited partners are described as a collective of more than 400 founders and operators; individual LPs are not disclosed.
