About
Tate Hackert had the idea in 2013 and co-founded ZayZoon in 2014 with Darcy Tuer and Jamie Ha. The company sells earned wage access as an employer-side benefit: it integrates with payroll and HR systems, and employees pull a portion of already-earned pay early instead of turning to payday lenders. It closed a US$34.5M Series B in September 2023 led by Framework Venture Partners, later extended, and partnered with Scotiabank in 2024 to expand in Canada.
