About
A neighbour-to-neighbour take on the gig economy, Adam Helps used geolocation, in-app messaging and mutual reviews to match people who needed odd jobs done with helpers nearby. Unlike TaskRabbit or Handy, it took no commission and let users settle up directly in cash or cheque, and it donated to local charities for completed jobs. The company launched in Toronto in 2017 and expanded to Calgary in 2018; its current status is not publicly confirmed.
