About
Ample Labs started as a group of tech workers volunteering evenings after CG Chen visited Skid Row in Los Angeles, and spent roughly six to eight months listening in shelters before building anything. The result was Chalmers, launched in July 2019 — a free web chatbot that answered where to eat, sleep and get help tonight. The organization wound down in 2022; its relationships and learnings were carried forward by nuAmple.
