About
The brothers started AskforTask after failing to find a reliable plumber, building it from the family basement to downtown Toronto. It raised $500,000 in seed funding in 2014 and launched a mobile app, taking a 15% commission on each job. At its peak it ran in over 100 Canadian cities with roughly 20,000 taskers. The iOS app was pulled in November 2025 and the site no longer resolves.

Is AskforTask still running?
No. Its iOS app was removed in November 2025 and askfortask.com no longer resolves. Muneeb Mushtaq now runs connected-fragrance company Airzai.
