About

ClassPass sells a subscription that gets members into classes and appointments across a network of studios and venues. Fritz Lanman led its Series A, chaired the board, and became CEO in March 2017 as founder Payal Kadakia moved to chairman. A 2016 pricing restructure into tiered bundles cost about 10% of the user base at first but doubled subscriber growth year over year. Mindbody acquired ClassPass in 2021; the combined group rebranded as Playlist in 2025 and merged with Germany's EGYM in March 2026.
