About
AssistIQ was founded in Montreal in 2022 to fix a gap hospitals live with: what actually gets used in an operating room is captured by hand, badly, so supplies go unbilled, stock counts drift and clinical staff spend time on inventory instead of patients. Its product, AIQ Capture, uses computer vision to log each item as it is used, which lets a hospital recover missed charges and see real consumption. The company raised $2.5 million CAD in seed funding, then an $11.5 million Series A led by Battery Ventures with return investor Tamarind Hill in May 2025, bringing the total to about $16 million, and has been adopted across academic and community hospitals. Co-founder and CEO Lisa Israelovitch talked through the scaling — including the failures and pivots — with Marie Chevrier Schwartz at TechTO's Together With Women session in Montreal in 2025.
Backers
