About
Bitmaker (originally Bitmaker Labs) was a Toronto coding bootcamp founded in 2012 that taught web development and programming skills. Andrew Mawer raised money in 2014 to buy out his co-founders and said the school was self-sustaining without needing growth capital. General Assembly acquired it in July 2016 to enter the Canadian market, and it continued operating as a General Assembly subsidiary.
