About
ChargeLab sells charger-management software rather than chargers. Its platform handles the network side of an EV charging site — provisioning, pricing, access control, monitoring and driver payments — and is designed to run on hardware from multiple manufacturers, which is the pitch: site hosts and charger makers get an operating system instead of a closed network. The company works with ABB's North American chargers and with electrical distributors and installers, and adds a white-label option so a partner can put its own brand on the app and dashboard. It raised a US$15M Series A led by King River Capital in 2022, then expanded that round to US$30M in 2023 with strategic money from power-management firm Eaton and charging operator Silver Comet. It has offices in Etobicoke, Ontario and Milton, Delaware.
Backers
King River Capital led the Series A; Eaton and Silver Comet led the strategic expansion of it. Reported by BetaKit and the company's own release.
