About
Circle sells one place for a paid community: discussion spaces, courses, live events, memberships and payments, on the operator's own domain rather than inside someone else's social network. Its founders — Sid Yadav, Andy Guttormsen and Rudy Santino — built and marketed Teachable before starting Circle in January 2020, and the product reflects that: it is aimed at people who already sell something and want the audience in one place.
Growth has been steady rather than explosive. Sacra puts Circle at $55M ARR at the end of 2025 and $68M by May 2026, roughly 80% year-over-year, on $30.2M raised across five rounds and a $250M valuation set in 2023. Investors include Tiger Global, Notation Capital and Bossa Invest.
Charlie Locke heads sales at Circle. He spoke at TechTO's SalesTO in January 2019 as VP of Sales at #paid, six years before this role.

Quick answers
What does Circle do?
It is a community platform — discussion, courses, events, memberships and payments for creators and brands, hosted under their own brand instead of on a social network.
Who founded Circle?
Sid Yadav, Andy Guttormsen and Rudy Santino in January 2020. All three worked at Teachable first. Yadav is CEO.
Is this the same Circle as USDC?
No. That is Circle Internet Financial, a separate stablecoin company. This Circle is the community platform at circle.so.
