About
Dapper Labs is a Vancouver blockchain company that spun out of the venture studio Axiom Zen. It created CryptoKitties in 2017 — the first widely popular blockchain game, in which players breed and collect digital cats — and later built the Flow blockchain and NBA Top Shot. Benny Giang was a founding team member who championed CryptoKitties' expansion into Asia. On stage in 2018 the team said it had raised a $27.5M Series A rather than run an ICO.
Backers
Backed by Union Square Ventures, Samsung and Google Ventures, named by the founder on stage in 2018, with Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) among later investors reported by The Block.
