About
Andrew Peek pitched Delphia on the TechTO stage in August 2020 as a closed loop: members contribute their own data, Delphia invests their money, and the pooled data sharpens the returns. The company went through Y Combinator as the Cambridge Analytica story was breaking, registered as a US investment adviser in 2019, and raised a US$60M Series A led by Multicoin Capital in June 2022. In March 2024 the SEC charged Delphia (USA) Inc. in what it called its first enforcement action over 'AI washing', alleging the firm had stated between 2019 and 2023 that it used client data in its investment algorithms when it did not; Delphia settled without admitting or denying the findings, paid a US$225,000 civil penalty, and no individuals were charged. That same year Delphia shut down the consumer robo-advisor and its data reward token and refocused on professional investors. It now runs as a holding company behind Tilt, a custom indexing platform launched in November 2024, a systematic hedge fund, and open-source quantitative tooling.
