About
Dragon Fruit Consulting works on the distance between what AI can do and what an organization actually does with it. Its two lines are AI literacy and adoption — curated content, tools and a methodology for rolling AI into how a team works — and AI policy and public affairs, where the questions are regulatory rather than technical. Nonprofits and associations sit alongside technology companies in its client base, which is unusual and deliberate: the firm's stated concern is the disparity in who gets to adopt AI at all.
Kim Logan founded the practice, originally to help growing technology companies succeed, and later pointed it at the adoption gap. She spent sixteen years at TELUS in government relations and its Internet of Things division, where she was strategic programs director, and served as chief of staff to British Columbia's health minister. She holds a BA from UBC and an MBA from the University of Victoria, where her thesis team built the business case for TELUS Agriculture.
She joined a TechVancouver panel in June 2019 on how large organizations can work with startups successfully.
