About
Marcus Räder, Saber Kordestanchi and Mikko Nurminen founded Hostaway in 2015 to automate the work of managing short-term rental properties, and bootstrapped it for years before taking outside money. Its platform handles listing distribution across Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com along with guest messaging, pricing and payments. PSG led a $175-million investment in 2023, and in December 2024 General Atlantic led a $365-million US growth investment with PSG participating. Räder presented lessons from building startups in Toronto and Finland at TechTO in January 2019.
