About
Innovobot is a Montreal innovation platform with a US office in Silicon Valley, founded in 2018 and organised around several divisions; Innovobot Resonance Ventures is its investment arm. IRV describes a deep tech for good mandate — seed-stage companies whose underlying science bears on social, industrial or environmental problems — and its portfolio runs to CarbiCrete, the Montreal company making carbon-negative concrete, and Oneka Technologies, the Sherbrooke wave-powered desalination startup. The fund announced a first close of CAN$14 million toward a CAN$40 million target, and the Quebec Eurêka Fund later awarded it a $3 million investment mandate. It was relaunched under Neha Khera, previously an early-stage investor at 500 Startups, who set out a plan to back another 25 to 30 deep-tech startups over three years. She is managing partner of the fund; Innovobot itself is the wider platform around it.
