Intrepid has run small-group adventure trips since 1989 and became a certified B Corp in August 2018. Its Canadian operation is run from Toronto by Christian Wolters, who was on the founding Canadian team from 2008 and returned as President, Canada in July 2024. Wolters sizes the North American small-group adventure market at roughly 28 million potential customers.
