About

Next Decentrum describes itself simply: it "builds extraordinary products, brands, and technology for art and culture," and signs its site "Built with Care in Vancouver." The company began on the blockchain side of that, working with museums, galleries and artists on NFT collections — Crypto Pharaohs, launched in 2022, and Crypto Emirati with UAE artists — as a Victory Square Technologies portfolio company. Its current centre of gravity is Momentable, a product that turns any screen into a gallery, drawing on roughly 120,000 artworks and artifacts from major museum collections; the site marks it "coming soon." Other projects listed include the Chosen Pharaohs transmedia universe, a calligraphic art store, the Elysian Depths digital art experience and a Tutankhamun story project, alongside the book The Dark Art of Life Mastery. Hussein Hallak is founder and chief executive; Rama Ibrahim is co-founder and chief operating officer and Shawn Mayzes co-founder and chief technology officer. Hallak was born in Syria, raised partly in Dubai, and moved to Vancouver in 2014, where he ran the startup incubator Launch Academy — the subject of his November 2016 TechVancouver talk.
