About

PolicyMedical sold governance, risk and compliance software that let hospitals manage the policy documents their accreditation depends on. Founder Saud Juman bootstrapped it out of his mother's basement in Scarborough, cold-called and drove to US hospitals because there was no money for flights, and rebuilt the company over six years in three phases — product, then customer success, then a combined revenue team. It reached more than 3,000 hospitals and health systems before RLDatix acquired it. Juman told the story at HealthTO in August 2019.
