About
Succession AI began as a marketplace connecting sellers and buyers of small businesses. Co-founder and CEO Avril Sun told the TechTO stage in September 2026 that sellers turned out to have no idea what their business was worth, whether a buyer was credible or how due diligence worked, so the team chose to run deals itself rather than sell M&A software to advisory firms. It represents sellers and, Sun said on stage, operates under real estate licensing. In February 2026 the province's Succession Ontario program partnered with the company and made its automated valuation tool free for Ontario residents.
