About

Taloflow began as LocoNoco, a cloud cost-management tool, and raised US$500,000 in May 2018 followed by a $1.1 million pre-seed that October led by Victory Square Technologies, with Plug and Play Ventures, Hootsuite co-founder David Tedman, Avigilon founding engineer Ross Wightman and Blockchain Founders Fund's Aly Madhavji participating. It has since narrowed onto the harder problem underneath cloud spend — choosing the vendor in the first place. The company runs structured evaluations against a buyer's own requirements and delivers a report a consulting firm can hand to its client, rather than a generic quadrant. Louis-Victor Jadavji is chief executive and Todd Kesselman chairman and CTO; the pair say they have worked together for seven years. Taloflow went through Y Combinator's winter 2021 batch. Jadavji took the TechVancouver stage in January 2018 for Wiivv, the custom 3D-printed insole and sandal company he co-founded in 2014 (later renamed FitMyFoot).

Backers

Y Combinator (W21), Wonder Ventures, Voyager Capital and Plug and Play, plus angels named on the company's own about page including former Adobe chief product officer Scott Belsky and John Seely Brown. Victory Square Technologies led the 2018 pre-seed.
